48th Nantucket Daffodil Festival

Main Street, Downtown Nantucket

Thousands of festive visitors enjoyed near-perfect weather on the island this past weekend for the 48th Nantucket Daffodil Festival, under sunny skies and cool spring temperatures. More than 100 spiffed up and decorated cars lined Main Street on Saturday morning. Revelers and vintage car fans admired the creative vehicle presentations, with judges from event sponsor Nantucket Island Chamber of Commerce choosing their favorites in categories including most authentic, best decoration, and best in show.

Out in ‘Sconset, parade entrants with their crews, along with other picnic groups, lined the village Main Street for the afternoon gathering. Themes among those with picnic setups included costumes and decorations based on television shows, movies, and classic tales.
